| Euromech protection for diesel engined vehicles operating in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas. |
Euromech protection controls surface temperature, prevents flame or spark emission from the exhaust system, ensures the prevention of air inlet flashback and engine overspeed. A control system continually monitors coolant and exhaust temperatures which will instigate truck shutdown in the event of high temperatures. The Pyroban SVD inlet air shutdown valve will shut automatically in the event of engine overspeed.
A flameproof (EExd) main enclosure is provided to house all standard arcing and sparking componentry. Optional electrical equipment including battery, lights and switches comply with the relevant CENELEC European standards.
Euromech conversions include further safety measures to prevent sparking due to electrostatic charges or mechanical friction. For Zone 1 conversions a frame leakage detection system is provided to monitor for dangerous leakage currents.
Euromech specifications provide a safe solution for all your diesel engined vehicles such as lift trucks, tow tractors, mobile cranes and other industrial vehicles for use in Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas, gas groups IIA and IIB and temperature class T3 and T4.
Pyroban Euromech conversions are in compliance with the essential health and safety requirements of the European Directive 94/9/EC (ATEX Directive) for equipment groups ll,~category 2G (Zone 1) and category 3G (Zone 2). Conversions are based on the European standard EN1755; "Safety of Industrial Trucks - Operation in potentially explosive atmospheres".
On-board flameproof electric starting improves truck productivity and allows for accessories such as lighting, windscreen wipers, reverse sounder and cab heaters. |
